Cameraman Tower Defense guide: Units, Crates, Coins
Summon smarter in Cameraman Tower Defense: crate odds, coin farms, gem goals, codes, and loadouts from community reports.
Most players burn a week of Coins on a mythic that is not even in the crate. This Cameraman Tower Defense guide maps every summon path, the community-reported price of each defender, and the farms that refill your balance. Read this Cameraman Tower Defense guide before you open a Basic Crate, spend gems, or buy a pack you can roll with Coins instead.
Cameraman Tower Defense is a Roblox tower defense game from Aligators Games. Lobby Coins, in-match cash, gems, and win-drop crates are four different economies. Mixing them up is how new accounts stall on Easy while veterans clear Insane.
Numbers below come from community reports and published gameplay writeups gathered in mid-October 2026. They are not an official developer rate card. If a unit card in your lobby disagrees, trust the card. These figures are for this game only, not for Toilet Tower Defense or other Roblox titles with similar names.
First matches, two currencies, and three wins
Launch from the official Cameraman Tower Defense page on Roblox. In the lobby, open Units and equip whoever you already own. Step onto a matchmaking pad, such as the Toilet City platform, and vote Easy while your roster is still starter-level.
Easy is reported as 20 waves and 100 Coins on a clear. During prep, place a Cameraman or Speakerman beside the path and check the range ring so enemies actually walk through it. Waves pay in-match cash. Spend that cash on upgrades and extra towers. It does not buy Basic Crate summons.
Three winning matches unlock code redemption. Open Shop, scroll to the code field, and redeem only codes the game still accepts. A separate one-time lobby bonus of 200 Coins is documented after you join the official Aligators Games Roblox community, like the experience, and favorite it.
That Coin-versus-cash split is the backbone of a useful Cameraman Tower Defense guide.
| Resource | How players earn it | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Lobby Coins | Clears, codes, the one-time community bonus | Basic Crate summons |
| In-match cash | Waves inside a single match | Placing and upgrading towers |
| Gems | Quests that open after 20 wins | Spider Crate pulls |
| Woman Crate | A chance after a win, not a Coin purchase | Dark Camerawoman, Speakerwoman, TV Woman |
Speakerman is treated as a starter, not a crate target: 100 in-match cash to place, with level 1 listed at 10 damage, 6 range, and a 1-second cooldown. Level 2 is listed at 25 damage, 8 range, and a 0.7-second cooldown. Later Speakerman levels are not confirmed here. Basic Cameraman is listed at 25 damage and a 3-second cooldown at base, then 100 damage and a 1-second cooldown at max. That is roughly 8.3 DPS growing to about 100 DPS.
Basic Crate slots, odds, and who is worth waiting for
A single Basic Crate summon costs 100 Coins. Ten summons cost 900, so the bundle saves 100 Coins every time. Player experience describes six slots, each holding one unit, with the lineup changing about every 30 minutes. A timer on the panel counts down to the reset. You can only pull the unit currently sitting in a slot. If the mythic portrait is wrong, wait.
Pull timing matters more than a generic Cameraman Tower Defense guide checklist of best units.
| Slot | Community-reported odds | Rough average | About this many Coins | Units seen rotating |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Two common slots | About 80% combined | Most pulls | A few hundred | Cameraman, plus Brown Cameraman or Car Speakerman |
| Rare | Whatever is left; one snapshot listed 15% | Depends on the portrait | Low if you are not targeting it | TV Man or Popcorn Cameraman |
| Epic | 4% | About 25 pulls | About 2,250 | Large Cameraman, Large Speakerman, Large TV Man, Camera Helicopter |
| Legendary | 1% | About 100 pulls | About 9,000 | Ninja Cameraman, Titan Cameraman, Titan Speakerman, Laser Car |
| Mythic | 0.1% | About 1,000 pulls | About 90,000 | Titan Cinemaman, Upgraded Titan Speakerman, Glitch Cameraman, both prototypes |
Those Coin figures use the ten-pull price, and they are averages, not promises. The same player math says roughly 100,000 Coins spent in ten-pulls still leaves about one player in three with no mythic. It also says 250 pulls with neither a legendary nor a mythic happens to about one player in 16. Long dry streaks are normal at a 0.1% slot.
One published summon screen froze a different pool: Cameraman 49.9%, Car Speakerman 30%, Popcorn Cameraman 15%, Large Speakerman 4%, and Laser Cameraman Car 1%. That writeup also said the screen can change. Read it as one lineup, not a permanent odds table. Laser Car and Laser Cameraman Car are treated here as one legendary under two community names.
Plain Speakerman did not appear in the crate lineups that player checked, so do not spend Coins hunting it. Brown Cameraman shows up only as a common-slot alternate in that report, and no damage stats for it are confirmed. Camera Helicopter is named as an epic-slot unit in the same report, also without a published DPS figure. TV Man, the other rare-slot name, likewise has no confirmed stats in these sources.
Popcorn Cameraman is the rare unit worth keeping. Player experience calls it a farm, caps it at three placements, and describes it as about 200 cash at max. That note does not clearly say whether 200 is income per wave or the cost to finish upgrades, so do not build a cash plan on a guess. Two Insane clears in that sample used Popcorn instead of Scientists.
Among epics, Large Speakerman was the lowest of the large units at 400 damage a second. Large Cameraman was the only tower in three reported Hard wins. Large TV Man paired with a Jetpack was enough for one reported Insane clear, which makes it a cheap partner once you already own a carry.
Legendary priority from that sample of wins:
- Ninja Cameraman opened often. Eleven of 20 Insane wins placed one. It maxes around 1,000 DPS for 1,800 cash.
- Titan Cameraman reaches about 3,000 DPS. One winning team stacked nine.
- Laser Car carried two Insane wins with no mythic, fielded as many as 11 at a time, at about 7,000 cash each to max.
- Titan Speakerman showed up beside other carries only once in that commentary, so chase it last.
Mythic upgrades, luck boosts, and a legendary that left
Cash to max is why a Cameraman Tower Defense guide should price the upgrade, not just the pull. A portrait you cannot finish before the late waves is not a carry yet.
| Mythic | Reported max DPS | Reported cash to max | What the sample actually did |
|---|---|---|---|
| Glitch Cameraman | 6,000 | 13,500 | Cheapest mythic to finish |
| Video Tapper Prototype | 7,500 | 21,000 | Six, plus four Scientists, cleared Insane |
| Upgraded Titan Speakerman | 5,000 in a unit writeup | About 20,000 | Carried two Insane wins, and only late |
| Titan Cinemaman | 7,000 AoE in a tier grouping | 40,000 | Area damage; in five sampled Insane wins |
| Brute Prototype | 9,000 | 41,000 | Highest hit in the set, but it peaks at the end |
Video Tapper Prototype is also spelled Videotaper in some writeups, and that tier note calls the 7,500 DPS boss-focused. Brute Prototype is sometimes labeled Upgraded Brute Prototype and is grouped as area damage there. Upgraded Titan Speakerman is also listed at 2,500 maximum damage and 25 range. If your upgrade screen disagrees, the screen wins. Stats between base and max are not confirmed unless a source states them.
A double luck pass, in player experience, doubles only slots under 10%. That cuts the average mythic from about 90,000 Coins to about 45,000. A luck potion stacks with the pass. With both active, those slots were described at triple odds, or about 30,000 Coins per mythic on average. The common slots are not part of that boost.
Titan TV Man is a legendary that was missing from all 15 Basic Crate lineups read in that mid-October sample, and it was not in the shop. A creator had pulled it from the legendary slot before a lobby update at the end of September. Nobody in that check had shown it since. It may rotate back, which is not confirmed. It has won on Insane, but 16,000 cash for 2,000 DPS made it the weakest carry for the cost in that comparison. Do not sit on Coins only for it.
Glitch Cameraman, Brute Prototype, and Video Tapper Prototype are sold together in a paid pack. All three also roll in the Basic Crate mythic slot. Check that slot before you pay. Every one of them can be pulled with Coins.
Woman Crate, Spider Crate, and paid units
Coins cannot open the Woman Crate. Player experience puts the drop after a win at 2% on Easy, 4% on Normal, 6% on Hard, and 10% on Insane. One Insane clear is worth five Easy clears for this crate, and it also pays six times the Coins.
| Unit | Reported share | About how often on Insane | Reported max |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dark Camerawoman | 78% | About every 13 wins | 400 DPS, attack range 40 |
| Speakerwoman | 20% | About every 50 wins | 3,500 DPS |
| TV Woman | 2% | About every 500 wins | 4,000 DPS, plus burn in that report |
Five hundred Insane wins at about 10 minutes each is more than 80 hours for one TV Woman on average. That is why community talk treats her as one of the rarest units. She was also in the fastest Insane clear that sample found, at 6 minutes 14 seconds. The burn effect is confirmed only in that writeup. Speakerwoman is the earlier payoff: about 11 of them carried a Desert Insane with no Scientist, and 3,500 DPS is higher than a maxed Titan Cameraman. Dark Camerawoman is the common pull. Her damage is modest, but range 40 was the longest attack range that coverage had recorded.
Gems start after 20 wins. Quests pay 5 gems each, four sit on the board, and a full board is 20 gems. Player examples include beating Hard, or winning while using only one placement slot. A Spider Crate try costs 100 gems. Ten tries cost 1,000. There is no bulk discount.
If this Cameraman Tower Defense guide changes one gem habit, make it this: roll for Camera Spider, not a TV Spider lottery ticket.
| Spider Crate result | Community-reported rate | Expected tries | Expected gems | Combat note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Speaker Spider | The usual pull | Often | A few hundred | About 500 DPS, near epic level |
| Camera Spider | About 9.8% | About 10 | About 1,000 | About 3,500 DPS and range 35 |
| TV Spider | 0.2% | About 500 | About 50,000 | Listed at 10,000 DPS |
Those rates come from spoken player commentary, and the try counts match the math. Speaker Spider fills most of the crate that is left. Fifty thousand gems is also about 2,500 full quest boards. TV Spider's card is reported to show 40 range, but that coverage says 40 is walk distance and the attack only reaches 20. No Insane win using it turned up in the sample, so 10,000 DPS is a sheet stat, not a proven clear. Camera Spider is a realistic goal. TV Spider is optional only if you can accept the miss rate.
Scientist, Large Scientist, and Engineer come from a paid crate at reported rates of 89%, 10%, and 1%. A maxed Scientist gives 500 cash a wave, costs about 3,900 cash to finish, pays itself back in about eight waves, and can be placed four times. Large Scientist sounds like income and is not. It is area damage at about 1,250 DPS when maxed. Engineer averages about 100 paid tries. Its helpers deal no damage until the last upgrade, priced at 15,000 cash in that commentary. A separate unit note puts fully upgraded helpers near 3,000 DPS and caps Engineer at three placements. Both helper details are community reports.
If you skip that crate, Popcorn is the farm. Seven of the 20 Insane wins in the sample never placed a Scientist. Jetpack Cameraman comes from its own paid pack, reported to include 1,000 Coins and two boosts. It maxes near 5,000 DPS for 10,500 cash. It has carried a two-unit Insane beside Large TV Man. Laser Car, from the Basic Crate, has also carried Insane with no mythic.
Mode rewards, farm pace, and codes
Move up when clears feel stable. Published mode notes recommend basic units on Easy, uncommon on Normal, rare on Hard, and legendary or stronger on Insane. Those are suggestions, not locks.
| Mode | Waves | Coins per clear | Woman Crate chance | Pace note from players |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | 20 | 100 | 2% | Learn pathing and bank three wins |
| Normal | 30 | 200 | 4% | Step up once Easy stops leaking |
| Hard | 35 | 300 | 6% | Under 30 Coins a minute in one sample |
| Insane | 50 | 600 | 10% | About 60 Coins a minute |
Insane is the clear this Cameraman Tower Defense guide favors once your roster can hold 50 waves, because it pays the most Coins and drops the Woman Crate five times as often as Easy. Insane with the X2HP mobs modifier was clocked around 150 Coins a minute, the best pace in that sample. The report does not say whether the jump is a shorter match, a bonus payout, or both. At that pace, an average legendary is about an hour and an average mythic is about 10 hours. Your luck will not match the average.
When a double-coin event is live, each win pays its base reward again on top. Farm during that window. Do not spend the extra Coins on a mythic portrait you do not want.
Three codes were reported active on October 12, 2026, for 50 Coins each: Engineer, UpgradedTitanSpeakerman, and NewMaps. That is 150 Coins total, and redemption required at least three wins. This page is dated October 16, 2026, so those codes may already be dead. Try each once in the Shop field. Do not plan your summons around them.
Loadouts that reported clears actually used
A provisional community tier, not an official ranking, groups units from published damage and utility notes:
- S: TV Spider at 10,000 AoE DPS on paper, Brute Prototype at 9,000, and Scientist Cameraman for 500 cash per wave.
- A: Video Tapper Prototype at 7,500 with a boss lean, and Titan Cinemaman at 7,000 AoE.
- B: Glitch Cameraman at 6,000, Jetpack Cameraman at 5,000, and Titan Cameraman at 3,000.
- C: Basic Cameraman as a learning tower, not a late-game carry.
Keep TV Spider's S rank in context. The damage figure is the highest those writeups list, and the same player sample had not found an Insane clear with it. Brute Prototype wins on the sheet and loses on timing, because 41,000 cash shows up near the end of a run. Glitch Cameraman is the mythic you can actually finish earlier, at 13,500 cash for 6,000 DPS.
Upgrade one or two real damage dealers before you fill the map with level-1 towers. Add a second angle only when enemies walk out of the main range. Early waves can sit on Cameraman and Speakerman. Cash after that belongs to the carry and the farm.
Start with Ninja and Popcorn if you are following this Cameraman Tower Defense guide from a new account, and read the crate timer before every ten-pull. Both units come from the Basic Crate, but only while their portraits are actually in the slots. For Insane with no mythic, Laser Car and Speakerwoman are the carries that already have reported clears. Spend wins on Insane. Spend gems on Camera Spider.
FAQ
How many Coins should I save before a Basic Crate session?
Wait until the legendary or mythic slot shows a unit you will place, then buy ten-pulls. Budget about 2,250 Coins for an average epic, about 9,000 for an average legendary, and about 90,000 for an average mythic at base odds. A double luck pass plus a luck potion was reported to bring that mythic average near 30,000 Coins. Walking away from a bad portrait saves more than summoning through the timer.
Is Camera Spider or TV Spider the better gem target?
Camera Spider. Community rates put it near 9.8%, or about 1,000 gems, with roughly 3,500 DPS and 35 range. TV Spider is 0.2%, or about 50,000 gems, for a listed 10,000 DPS that had no Insane clear in that sample. Speaker Spider will be most of your pulls, and it tops out near 500 DPS.
Can I follow this Cameraman Tower Defense guide without buying paid packs?
Yes for the main progression. Glitch Cameraman, Brute Prototype, and Video Tapper Prototype can all come from the Basic Crate mythic slot, so their paid bundle is optional. Scientist, Large Scientist, Engineer, and Jetpack are the units community reports lock behind paid packs. Popcorn covers farming if you skip Scientist. Laser Car and Speakerwoman have both cleared Insane without a mythic.
Why can I not find Titan TV Man in the crate?
In mid-October 2026 player coverage, it was missing from 15 recent Basic Crate lineups and from the shop. It used to sit in the legendary slot before a lobby update at the end of September. A return is possible and not confirmed. Even if it comes back, 16,000 cash for 2,000 DPS was a weak deal compared with Ninja Cameraman, Laser Car, or any mythic you can afford to max.
